THE HEALTHY BUSINESS COUNCIL OF OHIO CELEBRATES McGOHAN BRABENDER
The Healthy Business Council of Ohio (HBCO) has announced that 84 Ohio employers have been recognized for healthy worksite practices in 2024. All 84 worksites have received recognition within the state-wide organization’s tiered Healthy Worksite Recognition Program. Among the recipients being honored is McGohan Brabender.
The Healthy Worksite Recognition recognizes Ohio employers who demonstrate a commitment to employee wellness through comprehensive worksite health promotion and wellness programs. Applicants are scored on the extent their wellness programs facilitate and encourage employee health, enhance productivity, and ensure a healthy work environment.
All applications were reviewed and evaluated using objective criteria to award either Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum status, in addition to an entry-level tier of “Recognition.”
McGohan Brabender has a longstanding commitment to promoting healthier living, particularly in the area of mental health. In 2024, the organization initiated a program to train employees as Mental Health Allies through Psych Hub’s Workplace Mental Health Ally Certificate course. This team supports managers and employees by identifying and addressing mental health concerns.
Additionally, McGohan Brabender’s Population Health Manager, Tiffany Kuck, became certified in Mental Health First Aid and as an instructor. She has since conducted free Mental Health First Aid training sessions for clients and prospects across various markets, with plans to continue these sessions monthly in 2025.
These initiatives highlight the organization’s dedication to improving mental health for employees, their families, clients, and community partners, reinforcing its reputation for creating innovative and replicable mental health programming.
While the 2024 application deadline has passed, the HBCO would like to encourage all Ohio-based worksites, large and small, public and private, for profit and nonprofit, in-person and remote, to consider applying for the Healthy Worksite Recognition Program in 2025.
The online recognition application is available to all Ohio-based worksites each year. In 2025, the online application will be open April through November.
The 2024 Recognition Event will occur virtually via Teams on February 5 at 1:30 p.m. Additional details regarding the recognition event will be provided to our recipients.
